Wellness Massage
We live in a stressful world. Our bodies know how to heal themselves, but are unable to in a constant state of stress. Many studies report that massage has a direct effect on lowering stress hormones and reducing the body’s physiological reaction to stress.
Wellness, or relaxation massage is used to promote deep relaxation and to allow the body to heal itself and return to a state of homeostasis. Typically a form of Swedish massage, it consists of long connecting strokes using a lubricant to work with the most superficial muscle groups to increase blood and lymph circulation and to remove waste products and toxins. The result is a feeling of being refreshed, relaxed, and rejuvenated!
